Weekend Project

 

I love the magical colors of cotton candy and with the summer months quickly approaching I begin to look forward to the local county fairs...and of course indulging myself in a bit of cotton candy! There are just some things in life you never outgrow.  So this weekend I was inspired to capture that nostalgic childhood delight of pink and blue in this whimsical lace hearts doily:

Let's Get Acquainted!

After much encouragement from family and friends, I've decided to take the plunge into the wonderful world of blogging!  My name is Molly, I'm a mother, a teacher (ready to retire soon!), and an obsessive crafter.  I've been sewing and crocheting for as long as I can remember and I'm still fascinated with the process of coordinating colors and prints to create something unique and refreshing.   I love crocheting baby items, I think this has to do with my love for pastel colors, or perhaps some subconscious desire to be a grandmother?  For now the only "grandchildren" in my life are a Yorkshire Terrier, a Labradoodle, and Tabby Kitty whose blind in one eye.    When I'm not teaching or crafting, I can usually be found in the kitchen trying new recipes.  This blog endeavor of mine will be a place to share my latest projects, recipes, Etsy finds, and of course ramblings about family, friends, and life here in the country.  I hope you'll join me and stay a while.
